The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. (Mark 9.31)

But this and similar passages may be interpolations.

It is clear though, that Jesus did not resist his arrest or attempt to defend himself at his trial. It is also clear that the Jewish leaders were determined to rid themselves of him and ask the normally hated Romans to help them in doing this, though less clear exactly why this was or what the crime was for which he was condemned by them.

However, again in Mark (14.61 -64) we are shown the High Priest questioning Jesus.
